SHARE Program

SHARE stands for Self Help and Resource Exchange. It is a grass-root, self-help community development program. It offers a monthly food package which promises two to three times more nutritional food for your money in exchange for $13.00 and two hours of community service. Everyone is eligible to participate in this program. The SHARE philosophy involves more than food; it is about participation. RESOURCE EXCHANGE is the essence of the self-help aspect of the program.

St. Charles Parish is a Host Organization of this program. It is responsible to promote the SHARE program within the church or community and to provide caring service motivated by a desire to help others. Its office is located at the west side of the church next to the Retreat Center.
