Diocesan Council of Catholic Women

South Bay Deanery of Catholic Women

St. Charles Deanery Ladies

The Diocesan Council of Catholic Women (DCCW) was started many years ago and encompasses the entire Diocese. The women’s deaneries are Oceanside, El Cajon, and South Bay.  Every October, the annual DCCW Convention is held.  Generally, each Deanery makes a donation to the Bishop’s Vocation Fund for Priestly Formation to the DCCW then, at the convention it is given to the Bishop.  In the past, we have funded the Rosary tapes and CD’s with Bishop Brom.  More recently, the money has purchased new appliances for the Seminarians’ kitchen here in San Diego.

Over the years, more than $600,000 has been donated by the DCCW. Seminarian Cost Annually for each one: $45,000.
