Q: When and where is Confirmation?
A: At St. Charles Church on April 30, 2005 at 10:00am

Q: Where and at what time must I be at St. Charles?
A: We will meet at the Reception Area (St. Charles School Lunch area is located on the left side of the Catechetical Center, through the gate) @ 9:30am.

Q: What should I wear?
A: Well, it is a formal celebration with the Bishop of San Diego. We are to be reverent because our ceremony will also be in-line with mass. Short of Black Tie, we recommend at least slacks, long-sleeve dress shirt, dress shoes, and tie for the gentlemen and a nice lengthy dress or pant-suit for the ladies. Here is what we recommend that you not wear; don't wear jeans, T-shirts, shorts, skirts (the short ones above the knee), nor bare-shoulder dresses. I am sure there will be more said on this matter.

Q: What is going to happen?
A: We will be a part of the Processional, which you would have practiced already. Remember your seating arrangement so as to smoothly run our procession. We will have a regular mass. When it comes time, the Bishop will ask you to stand to profess your Baptismal promises again. Then, at another time, the Bishop will seal you in the Spirit with your sponsor behind you supporting you with their right hand on your shoulder (you would have practiced this too). NO PHOTOGRAPHY IS ALLOWED DURING THE CEREMONY.

Q: What will happen afterwards?
A: Besides celebrating with your family, we ask for you to join us for a short reception in the St. Charles School lunch area (it is to the left of the Catechetical Center). Cookies and punch will be available as will Bishop Chávez for pictures. For the Confirmed of St. Charles, please don't leave without receiving your gift, your certificate, and a firm handshake form Glenn.

If you have a question that was not answered here, please ask. We wish for you a wonderful, memorable, and life changing ceremony. You're almost there. Don't loose focus.
