The Retreat Experience
The aim of taking a retreat is to advance in the knowledge and love of God, to purify our selves, and to reform and transform our lives according to our model, Jesus Christ. It is not so much a looking back on achievements and failures of the past, as a looking forward to a more generous imitation of our Lord himself.

Retreat Explained

As you may have heard, our retreats have become legendary. And while that may be true, Youth Ministry has not given up on doing better. Based on Jesus Christ, we hope to enlighten, encourage, and empower youth to either strengthen or even better their lives and the lives surrounding them. We, the adults, young adults, and youth hope to serve the youth by giving them experiences that will affect them for their lifetime.

To those of you who are planning on attending a retreat, these are the things that we ask of you. We ask for you to prepare to leave EVERYTHING at home. By this we mean that you leave all materials (except for what is on the stuff list), all your gossip, all your friends, all your troubles, and worries at home. I am sure all of it will still be there for you when you come back. We ask for you to start anew in body, in mind, and in spirit for this retreat. We hope for this to be a special time for you and others like you.

Included on this site is a stuff list, copy of rules and regulations, information to be put on the refrigerator prior to a retreat all of this information will be sent to you along with a Parental/Guardian information sheet and a Permission Slip form. Please, be sure to fill out all of the permission slip and sign the rules and regulations sheet prior to a retreat that you plan on attending. Papers can be either given to Glenn at the office or given to him before boarding the bus. No youth will be allowed to board the bus without a permission slip. Glenn is in the office during the week if you should have any questions.

December 2004 Retreat
We Came, We Saw, We Got Soaked! While this retreat may have been a wet one due to the rain it still turned out to be a memorable one. A new record for cement chairs was even set at 5:53! Special Thanks go to our leaders Theresa Ploneda, Sasha Pizaro, Christina Blas, Bradley Pickett, Philip Reynolds, Lizeth Lopez, Nelson Pineda and Glenn. With your help in the evaluation papers we will continue to make the retreats better and better. Thanks go to the cooks for the awesome food. We hope you all had a wonderful time and can't wait to see on the next Retreat in the Spring!
