Dear Saint Charles Caritas, Charity
on the Border:
Happy Easter!
The Saint Charles Caritas would
like to thank you all for the 7 years that you
have supported this charity. We thank God for
moving you to help this charity. You have helped
more than 400 recipients for our 8 charities and
our special projects in the TJ dumpsite composed
of 1500 poor people. Your support and donations
made it easier for us to do this task of charity.
Schedule:
March 27, Thursday at 6pm: Costco
buy of basic food and cleaning products.
All charity representatives from TJ will be at
Coscto.
March 29, Saturday, Project# 12
Distribution of Food for 250 families at the TJ
dump site.
Please volunteer.
The more volunteer we have the easier and earlier
we can finish the distribution. Please bring your
passport or IDs with picture. Meeting time at 8am
in front of the St. Charles office. We may carpool
going to the border and the 2 vans will pick us up
on the other side of the border. Please join us
and feel the joy of giving.
April 19 & 20, Saturday & Sunday is
Saint Charles Caritas Day.
Please see us at all exit doors. 100% of your
donations will go to buy basic food and cleaning
products and basic necessities for all our 8
charities. We need volunteers at the two 5pm
masses.
Thank you so much to:
*J. Aceves from
Glendale CA for donating $500 Costco Cash
card. This will be used on Thursday at Costco buy
of food and cleaning products.
*Also, the Costco rebate for this year will be
used for the Costco buy.
*Our anonymous
friend who has been our volunteer and
donor, donated $500.
*The
Knights of Columbus for their
monthly donations thank you to the members and
president, Hermie Francisco.
*Mr.
Jorge Leyva donated 22 (13 gal.
bags) bags of T-Shirts plus toys. 98% of the
T-shirts are brand new. These will be distributed
at TJ dump site for Project#12.
*Mr.
& Mrs. Carlos Ferreira, for
arranging with a big grocery store to give us
boxes of their discontinued items.
*The
Parishioners of Saint Charles
never fail to support us every month.
*To the
good
hearted individuals of Imperial Beach,
who had been our good supporter for this cause.
*Our beloved priests: Fr. Peter Ruggere,
pastor. I attended his retreat last March 1st,
and he explained the Old Testament in laymen’s
terms that the attendees could understand. He
spoke about the “Covenant”. We are looking forward
for future retreats from Fr. Peter.
Our associate pastor,
Fr. Edwin Tutor, Fr.
Joseph Lal, and Fr. Vince
for their support.
May your days be always good and
enjoyable.
Sincerely yours,
Merlyn
