Jan 10, 2008, Caritas Day.
Dear Friends of Saint Charles
Caritas: Charity on the Border:
I hope all of you had a blessed
weekend!
It was a wonderful day for all
of us volunteers during the Caritas Day fund
raising last Jan 18 & 19. The nuns and
volunteers were in full force to start the new
year 2009.
The Saint Charles Caritas
awarded the
VOLUNTEER OF THE 2ND HALF (July thru
Dec 2008) to
MS. DIANE MARTIN. Diane started
volunteering more than 2 years ago. She is
taking care of the Caritas Day set up every
month. She has to do the set up 6 times during
the fund raising. Its a lot of work and you
have to be at the St. Charles patio very early
in the morning and go home late. I know
because I was doing these before. Diane's
dedication, hard work and commitment to the
cause is commendable. She is a model for our
volunteers. She also makes sure that the nuns
have water and food to eat during the Caritas
Day. She is also in the finance audit
team. Diane also works for Father Joe Carroll
of St. Vincent de Paul Village. Before this
she worked in the navy assigned in Italy
(NATO). We thank GOD that Diane is with the
Caritas. GOOD
JOB DIANE!!!
