Dear Friends of Saint Charles Caritas:

Just a friendly reminder... "A Day in the Orphanage"will be next Saturday, February 9. If you want to have fun, please join us!

Meeting Place: at the St. Charles Church office

Time: 8:00 am

What to bring: U. S. Passport or your Birth Certificate/ID (ID, i.e., drivers license, is a must!)

If you would like to volunteer, please send me an email or call me at 619-428-0199 after 7pm. We are going to prepare, cook and serve lunch to the children ages from 1 to 6 years old, plus children from the home for girls from 6 to 12 and 12 to 18 years old and home for the elderly. We are expecting 250 recipients including the nuns.

The sisters are going to pick us up at the TJ border. More likely we are going to carpool and park our vehicles at the US border and then walk across. Please wear comfortable clothes. So far, 6 volunteers have confirmed that they are coming

Saint Charles Caritas Schedule:

Feb. 8, Friday at 7pm: Buying of food at Costco for "A Day in the Orphanage."

Feb. 9, Saturday: 'A Day in the Orphanage" preparing, cooking, and serving hot-dogs, spaghetti, juices and cake for the children. All our 6 Groups of charities in TJ are invited. WE NEED VOLUNTEERS! Please bring your passport, or Birth Certificate/IDs. Meeting time: 8am at the back of St. Charles office.

Feb. 16 & 17, Sat. & Sun: Caritas Day. We need 5pm volunteers!

Feb. 23; Costco Buy of Food for 6 groups of charities in TJ.

March 1, Saturday, Project # 12 for 250 families at TJ dump site: Buying and bagging of food at 9:30am. We need pick up trucks and volunteers! We need tarps, baby food, bars of soap and canned/dry food.

March 29, Saturday: Project# 12 Distribution of Food at TJ dump site. We need volunteers!
