Greetings
to all! I hope you had a wonderful weekend.
April
12, Saturday
we are invited by the Adoratrices del Santisimo
in their convent. The sisters will pick us up at
the St. Charles office at 7am. A mass is going
to be held dedicated to the donors and
volunteers of Saint Charles Caritas, followed by
breakfast, and a tour of their convent/church
that the sisters are building. If you would like
to come, please call me or send me an email by
Wednesday. The sisters need a head count. Please
bring your passports or driver's license or
green card or birth certificate or
naturalization certificate. we will be back in
the US before 12 noon.
April 19 & 20 Caritas Day.
We need volunteers at the two 5pm masses. 100%
of your donations will be used to buy basic food
and cleaning products. We are all volunteers.
April 22, Tuesday at 6pm
is the Costco buy for our 6 charities.
April 25, 26, & 27 Celtic Retreat
run by Sister Paula Smith. Registration is going
on. Please send me an email if you are
interested to come and I will send you the
registration form or call Sister Paula at
619-690-9237. Sister Paula, medical Missionary
of Mary is a dedicated volunteer of Saint
Charles Caritas. Please support the Celtic
Retreat. I will see you there.

dump site.

We would like to thank the
volunteers who work hard on the day of the
distribution of project# 12. The volunteers were
delighted and happy that they were able to do
one on one distributing the food and etc. to the
poor people: We distributed: rice 750 lbs, pinto
beans 500 lbs, oat meal 300 lbs; tarps; canned
food: refried beans, tuna, chicken, corn,
pineapple, green beans, sweet peas, ramen (10
per bag); salt, spaghetti, pasta and many more
assorted dry food and brand new T-shirts,
clothes, hand made knitted hats for children,
snicker bars and assorted chocolates and
candies. We are humbled to see the need of the
poor people in the TJ dumpsite.
We thank Nita and
her sister Marilou for the hand
made 150 knitted hats for the children. These
were done with the labor of love from these 2
siblings. Thank you so much. we enjoy putting
them on the heads of he children.

March 29, Saturday were: the

from the state of Washington arrived that night
and the following morning volunteered for the
Caritas distribution of food at TJ dumpsite, the
professors from San Luis Obispo: Joe
& Barbara Miller, were very
happy to volunteer; The Ross family:
Michael and his 2 daughters,
Madisson & Morgan
from Oceanside; John &
Mary Mautino; Belia
Campos, Elvie Valdivieso, Beth
Welner, Mary Wilson
and her friend vacationing from another state,

27, Costco buy of food
for the 6 charities were: Jack Stroh,
Diane Martin, Elaine
Rechs. Jack bought
hot-dog combos and pizza for all the nuns and
volunteers.
