Mission Statement
“…we continue the mission of Jesus who revealed to us God’s presence
among us. With Jesus Christ, we strive to hasten the coming of God’s
reign of peace, justice and love. …our catechetical ministry is
known by these three signs: 1) Proclaiming and teaching God’s Word;
2) Celebrating as a community through prayer and worship; and 3)
Serving others, especially those who suffer because of injustice and
poverty.”
Objectives:
The Catechetical Ministry aims to help families in the spiritual
instruction and religious formation of their children from
pre-school through high school. Resources are also available to
parents so that they may fulfill their family ministry.
The religious education program is focused on: Pre-school,
elementary curriculum, Sacramental Preparation, Hispanic Catechesis,
and Adult Faith Formation.
We are committed to continue the mission, begun by Jesus Christ, to
hasten the coming of God’s reign of peace, justice, and love.
Through the Sacrament of Baptism, we are made members of Christ’s
Body, and we are fortified with the guidance and power of the Holy
Spirit. Our Ministry may be known by the following signs: our
proclamation of the Word of God, our communal celebration of the
Lord through prayer and worship, and our service to those who suffer
because of injustice, poverty, or ignorance.
We recognize that our Youth Ministry is vitally important to our
Church and to each and every young person we serve. Our goals are to
help young people grow in their faith, to help them become active
and responsible members of the Christian community, and to help them
develop their own unique talents within a Christian environment.
